Socle Therapy & Learning
Autism speech therapy Eastwood
Our clinic has a neuro-affirming approach and is dedicated to supporting sensory needs and social communication development.

Exploring Autism Spectrum Disorder and speech therapy together
Our team is experienced in working with autistic children, teens, and young adults. We work alongside each client and their family to develop meaningful communication through connection and enhance everyday interactions.
With toddlers and preschool-aged children, sessions often include play-based therapy and learning language skills. For older children and adults, the focus may be more on social communication skills. However, each person’s experience with autism is different, so therapy sessions will differ between clients.
Support for autistic children and adults alike
Our dedicated team of speech pathologists meet Autistic children, teens, and young adults where they are, building alternative communication and spoken language skills through meaningful support. We assist autistic individuals in various ways depending on their needs and goals. Speech therapy sessions often include a focus on:
- Communication skills
- Emotional regulation
- Play and social skills
- Functional communication
- Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Social awareness
- Body language

What to know about
speech therapy for autistic individuals
What does ‘neuro-affirming’ therapy mean?
Therapy that is neuro-affirming values a person’s strengths, enables them to feel safe being themselves, and facilitates autonomy. Varying modes of communication are encouraged, sensory needs are supported, and goals are functional and tailored to everyone.
Do you work with both diagnosed and undiagnosed children?
Yes, we work with all children who need help with their communication skills. A diagnosis is not necessary for us to see you.
How does DIR/Floortime work?
DIR/Floortime values child-led interactions. Your child’s speech pathologist will join your child at their level and interest, building skills from the inside out by maintaining connection. This allows your child to learn how to communicate, socialise and think in a natural, meaningful manner that has lasting effects.
Do you involve parents and caregivers?
Yes, we work alongside parents to support each child. This includes goal-setting together, discussions regarding progress, and taking part in sessions and home practice.
Can you help with NDIS communication goals?
Yes, we base the supports and goals on your NDIS plan. Your speech therapist will also prepare a report to show progress of therapy for your NDIS review meetings.
Do you see children at day care, preschool, and schools?
Yes, we provide day care, preschool, and school visits. These visits can be helpful by supporting your child in their regular environment and working closely with their teachers.
Do you offer support for schools and teachers?
Yes, we provide teacher and educator training opportunities, both informal and formal, for day care centres, preschools, and schools.
How often should my child attend sessions?
Your child’s speech pathologist will discuss your child’s needs, goals, and progress with you and provide guidance regarding how often sessions should be and how long treatment may take.
Do you support autistic teens and young adults?
Yes, we offer individual sessions and group therapy programs working on language, literacy, friendship and social skills.
